Nice one Codders, your index fingers must be aching with all that tapping but if you had carried on bulling your footwear it might have helped ease the pain .......

The memories from yesteryear!! That scruffy Cpl in the stores was a character named Ted Eglington, he had several boils on his face thus the nickname we gave him was Hypodermic Ted. Don't know why I remember his name, but I have always had a very good memory for names & places, if I remember rightly the RQMS was a member of the 11th Hussars!
I had good times & bad times in Boy's Squadron, in fact at one stage I had a National Service friend who worked in the kitchen was prepared to loan me 20 quid to buy myself out, but I thought it over & said to myself what will I do with myself if I got out. So I soldiered on, I cannot remember why I joined the 9L, but in hind-site I should have joined another regiment!!
Take care all & enjoy the summer, stay safe, healthy & happy.
