Actually I look at this site every day & it's the very first one I open. Like to hear what the rest of my Tank Park friends are doing.
I maybe wrong but if my memory serves me right that is the first time we have heard from Chris in a very, very long time! Would be great if some of the sleepers would write a few lines to let us know what they are doing.
We have right just over 12" of snow on the ground & with the wind it's not very warm, in fact it's bloody cold, just got in from my daily walking the dog. On the 3rd October we had our first big snowfall of the winter, out in Elkwater they had over 4 feet of the white stuff & for you who went to BATUS you know what that's all about.
On the night of 4 October I woke up with chest pains & a dead left arm & blood pressure of 240, wife called 911 & I was carted of to hospital, stayed for 10 days on a heart monitor 24/7, got me down to around the 120's, it appears as my doctor had been messing around with my meds they were working against each other, but all appears well now!!
Well take all of you, stay healthy & warm.......Neville.

Subject: You Old Buggers

I still find it hard to accept that our first class Web site JLR.RAC Forum went the same way as most of the Tank regiments. Im told most went to facebook.I wouldn't be seen dead there. Bloody Sad( how long do you give this site?)

Codders you old reprobate, hope all is well in the chilly climes of Yorkshire ...... yes, your right, things move on, and not always for the best but most of the problem is that people stop or slow down their usage of things so they just fade away. So, stop moaning and start typing I'm sure you will have many funny tales about your time on the ''Beat''....... or even RHQ.someone will read and appreciate them even if it's only Charlie knowing that his site is being used .......
Take care and get stuck in ......
Dick.

As the old saying goes: "Only the good die young".
If that's true, you right for a few years yet.

Thank you Kev for those kind words.

Charlie it's probably a thought that a few of us have had as one day, one by one, we are going to shuffle off the tank park into the annals of Boy Soldiers, thought one likes to think later rather than sooner; however to make sure that what you might wish to be said would it not be better to write your own epitaph then publish on this website so others can poach it and change a few bits to suit themselves ....... good eh!

All the Best,
Dick.

Subject: Bill Paddock ex 11th Hussars

I think you will remember Bill at the reunions as he always wore his Cherry Picker uniform. We used to talk on the phone but lately I was unable to contact him. After much trawling of the internet (Bill wasn't on the net) I have found out that he passed away in June.

RIP Bill
